Amazon.com: Much of the power of Visual J++ 6 derives from its underlying Windows Foundation Classes (WFC), which Microsoft has designated as the eventual successor to the Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC). This is a worthy reference to the dozens of classes in WFC.

The first volume in this set looks at application classes, core classes, and built-in classes for ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) database programming. This volume also details the Dynamic HTML classes and input/output (I/O) classes. The second volume covers the extensive user-interface classes for the WFC classes that encapsulate Windows controls, plus several utility classes. Successful development in Visual J++ depends on learning the WFC classes. This guide puts all this information at your fingertips in a convenient format. --Richard Dragan

From Book News, Inc.: Contains alphabetic listings for the Microsoft Windows Foundation Classes (WFC) for Java. The WFC library unifies the Win32 API and Web development with a single programming model across the client and the server. The two parts of the text together cover eight packages, from com.ms.wfc.app to com.mis.wfc.util. Intended for beginning to intermediate-level Java and Visual J++ programmers. Buyer Beware..., June 21, 1999

Best I could tell, this two volume set is identical to the reference material provided on the msdn cdrom documentation (from Visual Studio V6.0). There is NO new or useful information beyond being a "hard-copy" of the cdrom info. If that is what you are looking for, then this set is for you.

The Visual J++ 6.0 reference, October 13, 1998

I think that this reference is the complete and the best one for Visual J++ 6.0 so far. The best subject in the reference is DHTML.
